Lab & Classroom Building
This lab/classroom building for Central Georgia Technical College includes classrooms, computer, chemistry, and biology labs. These spaces enhance the allied health and technical programs offered by Central Georgia Technical College. The building is located in an important area of the campus and was developed to provide a meaningful terminus for a major view axis of the campus.
Georgia VECTR Center
Jointly operated between the University System of Georgia (MGSU) and the Technical College System of Georgia (CGTC), this 32,000-square-foot facility will enable veterans and their families to transition into the degree and certificate programs offered by each agency. The facility is organized to enable students and instructors to work together in an environment that enhances collaboration. JMA & Cooper Carry were associate architects on this project.
Industrial Training Center
This project for Southern Crescent Technical College includes campus master planning, building programming, and design. The facility includes diesel technology, electronics technology, commercial truck driving, industrial systems, plastics, air conditioning technology, and construction technology. The lab areas are supported by classrooms and administrative spaces. The public spaces are designed with exposed brick, structural steel, glass, and concrete.
Early Childhood
Development Center
This secured facility provides hands-on training for students in the Early Childhood Development Program as well as a daycare for the children of students who attend the college. The building is treated in a fun and visually exciting manner while being compatible with the materials and visual aspects of the campus.
CGTC Crawford Co.
Adult Education
The Central Georgia Technical College Center for Adult Education is a multi-program facility with programs designed to advance the economic well-being of the community. The organizing principles are the focus on the campus tower at the pavilion, the strongly oriented arrival, and the radial geometry of the parking lots. The facility maintains a high degree of “green” space around buildings and parking areas.
UGA College of Pharmacy Auditorium
This renovated College of Pharmacy Auditorium for the University of Georgia will become the collaborative center for information sharing, gathering, group activities, lectures, and state-of-the-art broadcasting technology for the college. The space will imbue a sense of inspiration and excitement for the subject, representing everyone who enters.
Building 700
Gwinnett Technical College
The program for this facility included the administrative offices for the College Foundation and continuing education programs, a classroom and functional dining room space for the outstanding culinary arts program offered by the College, and an IT department with office and lab space for the campus IT technicians to receive, program, and distribute all of the computer systems to be deployed on the campus.
Fitness Facility & Gymnasium
This facility supports Central Georgia Technical College's fitness and physical therapy programs. It also serves as the home court for the men's and women’s basketball programs. Spaces included for instruction include general classrooms and computer labs, a fitness lab with exercise equipment, and an aerobics/yoga room with specialized flooring to absorb energy from aerobic and plyometric workouts.
